Senior Accounting and Audit - Stevenage, Hertfordshire - up to £40,000. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Accountant with audit experience to join a successful accountancy practice in Stevenage. 


The successful candidate will ideally be ACCA or ACA Part-Qualified with extensive experience working in a practice environment. You will be managing a varied portfolio of client accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited companies as well as carrying out company audits. 

You will be responsible for completing year-end statutory and management accounts and you will have experience completing bookkeeping records, VAT returns and preparing client Payroll. You will also have experience preparing Corporation tax, CT600 and capital allowance computations. 

To be suitable for this role you must also have demonstrable experience completing audits for SME organisations with turnovers of up to £10 million including managing the audit planning and budgeting. 

This is a client facing role and you will be responsible for liaising with clients and HMRC on a daily basis to answer any accounts queries and provide advice regarding new systems and regulations. 

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and highly organised individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise a busy work load. You must have a clean UK driving license and a car as you will be required to attend client meetings when necessary.
