ASSISTANT FINANCIAL CONTROLLER / MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT: 

Through expansive infrastructure changes, a company in Grantham have a new opening for a Management Accountant. This is a newly created role that will see the successful applicant report to Financial Controller for all Management Accounting aspects from forecasting, budgets and month end management accounts preparation. No two days are realistically the same, so a variable mind set and articulate manner are very much welcomed in this process. This role amalgamates both Management and Cost Control so again, a good all-rounder would be most suitable. 

Ideally, you will have begun some form of accounting education (ACCA/CIMA/ACA). Part Qualified OR Finalist examples would be most desirable in selection, as well as some recent exposure to either an all rounded position OR specific to Commercial/Cost/Management Accounting. QBE's will also be considered, as well as Candidates looking for that "next step up." 

To elaborate, you will have previously worked as one of the following, currently OR previously; Management Accountant, Commercial Analyst, Assistant Management Accountant, Project/Commercial Accountant, Assistant Accountant, Assistant Financial Controller, Assistant Finance Manager, Finance Manager. 

WORKING HOURS: 

- Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week approx. - 
- Full time, Permanent Contract 

COMMUTABLE FROM: 

- Loughborough, Leicester, Grantham, Lincolnshire, Newark, and Nottingham

DUTIES INVOLVED IN THIS VACANCY: 

- Management Accounting; Monthly preparation, year end, banking and cost control. 
- Oversee some cost analysis and accounting inclusive of budget 
- Accounts reconciliation, financial reporting and some payroll authorisation (minimal) 
- Day to day support to the Financial Controller and any other ad hoc duty where requested within projects, management, commercial and operations. 

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATES FOR THIS VACANCY: 

- Must have recent or current exposure to based work within a similar role (essential) OR a commercially savvy background 
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT Part Qualified, Finalist or Qualified (Qualified by experience also welcome to apply) 
- Excellent communication skills 
- Numeric, accurate and attention to detail 
- Willing to learn and develop with the company 
- Commercially aware, a real "go getter"
