Our client a major bank seeks an Associate Director and Senior Associate to join its Project Finance team based in London.


Potential candidates should be able to build a Project Finance model from scratch and have experience of both Energy and Infrastructure lending and advisory.

Core responsibilities: 

Design and build intermediate/complex models in respect to project/structured finance transactions

Review models prepared by clients and other Financial Institutions, applying appropriate stress tests in conjunction with the originating deal team

Preparation of appropriate reports summarising the results/analysis surrounding the relevant financial model

Understand, manipulate and interpret financial data and client information, drawing appropriate conclusions

Respond to day-to-day queries raised by client/other banks in respect to the financial model and attend client meetings

Education (Essential):

Degree level, ideally with an accounting qualification Ideally with French Language Skills

Work Experience (Essential):

Previous experience of financial modelling in a Bank/similar Financial Institution or transaction services within a top four firm Previous experience of advising on PPP/PFI and Infrastructure transactions

Functional/Technical Competencies (Essential):

Excellent/Strong Financial Modelling experience and Excel skills, sound grasp of financial accounting combined with a high level of business awareness and a string understanding of the kind of factors that can drive the financial performance of a project financing

Behavioural Competencies (Essential):

Ability to work on own and prioritise without direction. Flexible, positive and tenacious attitude. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to build credible relationships at all levels. Accurate with excellent attention to detail.
