We are looking to appoint a confident, commercially minded ACA qualified accountant to join our Integrations and Commercial accounting team. This is a high profile role offering diversity, challenge and a structured career path within one of the UK's most progressive and largest organisations.

Capita spends on average more than £300m on acquisitions each year. Your role will be to lead on the financial integration and acquisition accounting of new acquisitions into the Group, support with legal entity restructuring across the Capita Plc and advise on complex contracts. You will also be expected to support or lead on ad hoc Group Finance projects.

Your background

You will be ACA qualified from a Top 6 firm, with 2 years PQE gained either in practice or industry. You will be keen to take your career to the next level, learn new skills and be challenged as part of a progressive forward thinking organisation. Previous experience of Finance systems and/or leading small projects is desirable.

You will be a proactive, self-starter who is organised with outstanding communication and influencing skills and a track record of adding value in the workplace. The ability to build effective relationships with junior and senior stakeholders both in Finance and in the business is a key criteria for the role.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting the financial due diligence process pre-acquisition including being the key contact person for accounting issues and attendance at board debrief meetings;
• Working with Capita business units to scope and agree SAP integration requirements
• Leading the Finance integration process which will include liaising with various group functions such as tax, group systems, group finance, compliance, legal etc together with divisional finance teams.
• Advising Capita business units on accounting for business combinations under IFRS3 (eg. fair value adjustments)
• Working with Group Tax, Company Secretariat and business divisions on company restructures and legal entity rationalisation
• Supporting the Group Finance relationship with Group Sales and other Capita divisions around structuring and accounting for large scale contracts
