Financial Accountant

Maldon Partners is working with a well-known Investment Bank who are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be recently qualified with Financial Reporting experience to IFRS.


Responsibilities

* Assist with group reporting including analysing and agreeing intra-group and company transactions
* Prepare the monthly/quarterly management accounts, including commentary, for various subsidiaries and provide support to the business management
* Prepare board financial reporting papers for various companies
* Responsible for the preparation of the annual financial statements for various subsidiaries and assisting with annual financial statements
* Liaise with taxation manager to estimate tax provisions, to provide information for preparation of corporation tax returns
* Responsible for the control and reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts
* Oversee financing and other companies reporting obligations and interest payments
* Assist in the maintenance of the accounting policies to ensure that any changes in accounting standards are analysed and reflected
* Work on various projects to improve our procedures and financial and management reporting

Requirements

* Newly qualified accountant
* Financial reporting experience with a thorough knowledge of IFRS and the ability to analyse requirements
* Financial services experience
* Good IT skills, experience of SAP GL and SAPFC would be beneficial
