Establishing, implementing and continuous improvement of financial policies across the group.

Coordinating the group's interaction with the external Audit Committee, including driving key papers for Audit Committee meetings and key sections of the annual report.

Ownership of the day to day accounting and reporting processes for specific Corporate HQ based topics (treasury/FX accounting, pensions, share awards, and intangible impairment reviews). 

Managing the reporting process around the group's projects.

Ownership of the relationship and interactions with other key CHQ functions - i.e. tax, treasury, corporate development etc. 

Primary responsibility for ad hoc projects within CHQ finance as they arise.

It is essential you have the ability and gravitas to take responsibility for the group's finance manual as you will be the key point of contact for the groups auditors, ensuring that policies and treatments adopted are acceptable, and coordinating all key internal and external stakeholders during the year end (and half year) audit. In other words, you will be providing expert accounting advice across the group, including advising on and driving the accounting treatment of major corporate transactions which include acquisitions, joint ventures and disposals.
