Finance Technician (Investment)
Romford, Essex
Fixed term - 6 months contract - £28,000 Pro Rata
Part Time - 22 hours (3 days per week) 

A perfect opportunity has arisen due to maternity leave for a Finance Technician to join an insurance company based in Romford working 3 days a week. 


Responsibilities of the Finance Technician will include: 
Completing end of the months reporting activities in respect of the Unit Pricing process. 
Being supportive for the reconciliation process for Investment balances. 
Communicating with fund managers, custodians and auditors. 
Managing all ad-hoc investment tasks. 
Taking on the daily Unit Pricing process for the Life and Pensions Funds. 
Handling all investment queries for clients and internal stakeholders. 
Supporting the input of trades, corporate actions and cash movement onto the Accounting systems.

The Successful Finance Technician will have: 
The ability to understand numerical data – analysis of financial data to explain unusual trends and variances.
Strong knowledge of investment markets and instruments. 
Familiarity working within the Financial Services sector. 
Previous experience working within an Investment Company or specialist Investment Team. 
An understanding of the ICON investment system.
Processing of studying for a recognised accounting qualification.
