A new opportunity has become available at an international bank for a Trade Finance Operations Officer.

Duties to include:


* Input of transactions into SWIFT
* Operating accounting systems
* Issuing and advising letters of credit
* Letter of credit document checking
* Following up branch for discrepant documents
* Issuing and amending Guarantees
* Claiming guarantee charges
* Maintaining diary system for guarantees and letters of credit
* Reconciling liabilities/acceptances for letters of credit and liabilities for guarantees
* Reconciling letters of credit and guarantee fees receivables
* Handling documentary collections
* Letter of credit payments
* Discounting of Letters of credit
* Processing and booking trade finance receivables discounting transactions originated by trade finance

The candidate will have:

* Extensive knowledge of Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits is required
* 3 years' experience in other areas of Trade Finance Operations is required before this job can be completed satisfactorily
* Knowledge of Guarantees and other trade products required

This is a permanent position that the client is willing to pay up to £40,000pa depending on experience.
