Finance Manager 
6 month contract (after which role is likely to go permanent) 
Paying up to £26 per hour 
Based in Chiswick, South West London

A market leader in the Oil and Gas industry is looking for a qualified Finance Manager to take responsibility for day to day financial operations of the business in the UK. As well as preparing the statutory accounts (UK GAAP and IFRS) and monthly management accounting/reporting, the role holder's responsibilities will include accounts receivable and accounts payable. 

The Finance Manager will also ensure financial and tax compliance with UK governmental and corporate shareholders' rules and regulations. 

Reporting into the Managing Director, this is a fantastic opportunity to be directly involved in the financial management of the business in a hands-on capacity. 

The Finance Manager will: 

* Monitor and prepare annual budgets 
* Manage preparation of midterm operational planning documents according to company and shareholders regulations 
* Prepare annual Financial Statements of the Company 
* Manage calculations of project economics 
* Provide monthly monitoring of Capex/ Opex development 
* Approve payment runs 
* Ensure routine company tax declarations 
* Maintain compliance with UK governmental and corporate shareholders rules and regulations and to initiate and implement necessary modifications 
* Ensure proper reporting to shareholders 
* Attend Board and Financial Committee Meetings 
* Represent Company at financial/tax audits of shareholders and government authorities 
* Represent Company during absence of MD and OM 


It is essential to have the following qualifications/experience: 

* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with some post qualified experience 
* Preparing statutory accounts under IFRS and UK GAAP 
* Exploration & production accounting experience/project accounting experience is highly desirable but not essential 
* Experience of SAP highly desirable 
* Very strong Excel skills 

The role is paying up to£26 per hour and provides a great opportunity to work in an all-encompassing finance role within the prosperous oil and gas industry.
