Potensis are a specialist recruitment agency providing candidates to clients within the property and construction sector.
The role
Due to recent growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual wishing to further their career in Credit Control to join a busy and expanding team in central Bristol.
Main duties and responsibilities will include
§ Prepare and issue invoices to clients on a prompt basis, checking they have been raised in accordance with agreed terms.
§ Liaise with external and internal clients to progress prompt payment of invoices, in line with collection targets.
§ Resolve client queries, developing innovative solutions and escalating as necessary.
§ Report problem debts to the Head of Credit Control with recommended actions.
§ Allocate cash receipts against invoices.
§ Produce regular reports and management information, including collection forecasting.
§ Other ad-hoc projects, including provision of support to other members of the Finance team, as and when required.
Required skills, knowledge, qualifications and experience
§ At least 12 months previous experience in a credit control role.
§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a confident professional telephone manner.
§ Exceptional organisational and planning skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
§ Innovative approach to problem solving, with an ability to adapt approach to resolve queries.
§ Computer literate and proficient in Excel and Word.
§ Experience of using an accounting system is desirable.
The role requires a tenacious individual who is capable of building strong relationships with clients, has the confidence to be strict when required and predict their future behaviour, but remain professional at all times.
The ideal candidate will easily be able to demonstrate skills and competencies within credit control, be confident and willing to chase clients by telephone in the first instance, using e-mail as a back-up, capable of working under their own initiative, and have the drive and passion to meet targets and deadlines.
Salary & Hours
§ Salary dependent on experience.
§ Working hours are 08.30 to 17.30, Monday to Friday.
§ 22 days paid holiday per annum.
