Our FTSE 100 global advertising client is seeking a permanent Management Accountant to join their fun, talented finance team in central London. The vacancy reports to an ACA qualified Financial Controller and will have responsibility for the main company month end accounts and one or two of their small, fast growing start-up entities. Job Description:
- Preparation of detailed monthly management accounts including staffing schedules for unit P&Ls.
- Analysis of variances of actual costs versus forecast.
- Analysis of cost accounts (including staffing in unit P&Ls) and updating various schedules.
- Preparation of month end accruals and prepayments.
- Prepare notes and comments for month end Senior Management meeting.
- Preparation of balance sheet submissions for subsidiary reporting units.
- Preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly Sarbanes Oxley submissions.
- Assisting with quarterly forecasts and budgets.
- Processing adjustments and other journals as required.
- Assisting the agency with finance related queries.
- Assist auditors in the half year and year-end audit.
- Ad hoc reports and other projects.
Skills/Experience:
- 2:1 or above Finance and Accounting degree qualified or equivalent.
- IdeallyCIMApart qualified and currently in studies, or equivalent.
- An understanding of management accounts and accounts.
- Good double entry skills.
- Strong excel and a general high level of computer literacy.
- Experience of usingMaconomyandCartesisan advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
- Good inter-personal skills, pro-active, an excellent communicator and the confidence to liaise with people of all levels in the agency.
- Attention to detail, high level of accuracy, the ability to be flexible, to be able to work well under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability toprioritiseand manage work load as the role will involve reporting to different managers on a day-to-day basis.
- The ability to identify and investigate problems and to come up with effective solutions.
- Demonstrate initiative to question,analyseandscrutinisedata.
