Reed Finance are exclusively partnering with a successful Huddersfield based business in the search for a Financial Controller. The business in part of a larger PLC FTSE listed company. Turnover for the business was £11 million in the most recent financial year, out of a group total of £174m. The package includes a salary of between £45k & £50Km, 25 days holiday, pension matched to 3%, Childcare vouchers, cycle to work scheme and Bupa private healthcare. 

You will be responsible for: 

* As part of the senior management team you would be involved in strategic and commercial decisions, including the assessment of acquisition opportunities, venue negotiations, and other ad hoc analysis. You will manage a team of 3 to ensure deadlines are met. 
* Reporting monthly management accounts, with supporting analysis and commentary, to Managing Director & Finance team in London head office. 
* Reconcile balance sheet control accounts. 
* Manage accounting for 5 legal entities. 
* Manage the monthly payroll process in conjunction with the payroll provider. 
* Weekly sales reporting analysed against the budget & performance against previous years. 
* Monthly & Annual reporting across the portfolio of shows. 
* Tracking and developing KPIs to monitor and explain performance. 
* Identify and implement process improvements in the accounting system and reporting suite. 
* Responsible for the completion of annual budgets and reforecasts across the business. 
* Annual statutory accounts, and managing the external audit process. 
* Vat returns. 
* Reporting to pension providers and other staff benefit programs 

You will be able to demonstrate: 

* Ability to work independently and assume responsibility for finance team deliverables. 
* Ability to motivate a team and develop individuals to maximise their potential. 
* Initiative to proactively interrogate processes to ensure the quality of outputs. 
* Strong organisational skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise. 
* Strong communication skills to enable translation of information to non-financial experts. 
* Thorough attention to detail. Must be accurate at all times. 
* Ability to work under deadlines; values teamwork and business partnering. 
* Previous experience as Finance Manager/Controller essential 
* Knowledge of Microsoft AX an advantage but not required
