Ocean Export Clerk - Temporary Position

Our client is one of the world's leading providers of forwarding and logistics services, specialising in intercontinental airfreight and sea freight consignments and the associated supply chain management solutions. Providing global integrated door-to-door forwarding solutions tailored to its clients' individual needs. The company operates a global network with 480 branches in 74 countries employing over 12,000 people worldwide.

They are now recruiting for a Sea Freight Exporter to join the team in their office in Manchester, on an initial temporary basis. Handling extreme high volumes, you will communicate with customers and clients mainly via email communication which can involve up to 60 containers a time. So high volumes and a very fast paced environment to work in requiring high attention to detail and a dedicated approach.

Responsibilities will include:

Interface with Customers, Intermodal, Product Management, Finance & Accounting and Management as required.

• Respond to every Customer enquiry/issue in a timely manner & follow up as necessary
• Liase with Carriers and Hauliers.
• Create and process export bookings and Bills of lading
• Complete Export Customs Clearance
• Comply with Sub-contractor Management and Core-Carrier policies.
• Comply with Export Controls & Sanctions, and Country Requirements
• Ad-Hoc Quotes
• Update tracking systems
• Manual update of Job Costing
• Timely invoicing to clients.
• Initiate Irregularity Handling Reports, as required.
• Deliver individual and departmental KPI's
